Post Desert RATS Meteor Crater  LIDAR Survey Analysis

Hamilton Sundstrand with Optech Provided LIDAR data to the Science Team

The Chartracer GPS survey pod recorded elevation data that was similar to USGS DEM at site 2.  Average elevation was 1725 meters.  This matched the contour given 1714 meters at the same site in the xyz database.

The database had maximum elevations above 1770 meters and the USGS DEMs show 1750 as the highest point on the crater rim.  The LIDAR xyz elevations were adjusted to correspond with the USGS DEMs for the 3D plots.
